We steal LIFE cards. [Apr. 22nd, 2005|11:18 am]
[mood |awakeI can't sing.]
[music |guster.]

I woke up this morning with Aladdin stuck in my head. And I am forever commited to BGPs. They are amazing. Even if a board game* is only played for a short while... all we need is it to be out. Not to mention a plethora of romance novels...

*We played LIFE, and let me just say...cheating in the game of LIFE is so fun, but is noticed. Just get me some milk* and a brownie. *NOTICE! MILK, not malk or mehlk!

And because I have not touched on the subject... "Wicked" was fabulous. Damnnn. So good. I woke up with that stuck in my head this morning as well.

I have also decided that being with all theater kids is a rather strange experience. Kind of like being put in a room with 15 copies of yourself. Strange, but oh so amazing. Drama Club night was wonderful.

And damn, I love good weather like a whale loves his homeland. (THE OCEAN!)

I hum to sun and breezes. [Apr. 6th, 2005|09:37 pm]
[mood |happyWonderfulness.]
[music |Shot in the Arm.]

Today writing was in Sass's room. I took it as my obligation to write multiple haiku's on the whiteboard stationed conveniently next to my temporary desk. I just like the thought of silly kids in math coming in and seeing this, among several others...

Remember that date
Not boys, my darling, but words
There are 2 commas!

Which, by the way, was originally written for the first time on that white board. And references to the fact that there must be a comma after the day in a date, and the year. Sigh.

So spring is bringing new things. Like bare and smooth legs, along with Becca vowing to stroke them tomorrow. Flip-flops, skirts, sun, hot thighs, tank tops, and increased jolliness!

So, to conclude... Ari, your mother did bring the feather duster. And I, for one, am quite disappointed that this means you will not be able to come bring me the feather duster during school!

And one more Writing Process haiku for you.

Oh dear writing ways
"You make me want to la-la"
Reference to Ashlee?!

Okay, maybe 2:

Backed by calm music
Are you at the dentisit's, love?
Oh, Write for College.

P.S. Write for College, is our official writing text book. And now I depart.

An addition to the play. [Mar. 31st, 2005|06:07 pm]
[mood |bouncyI need a big dance number.]
[music |I love show tunes. All That Jazz.]

Act 1 Scene 3

HALLIE, IZZY, and MOM are sitting at the dinner table eating supper (lots of random food). HAL is nibbling at a vegetarian chicken nugget as we move into dialogue.

HALLIE:  What are these made of?

MOM:  Mushrooms.

IZZY:  Mushrooms?

MOM: Special mushrooms...

HALLIE laughs quietly.

I think today reinforced my theory that the weather is one of the only things that completely affects my mood. I mean...THE SUN! SUN SUN SUN! I love it! I also love spring! And flowers! OO story! Yesterday in History, I told Bukowick that I hate the rain and that it made me unhappy...so he put a daffodil* on my desk. Sigh...

*that is a funny looking word. Speaking of words...I really like "plethora." "a plethora of Germanic languages..."

And I look forward greatly to the reincarnation of "A Feast Of Words." Maybe this time it should be "A Feast of Words: Including Foods of the Jews." Hmm... how I wish we could enter them in the poetry slam!

Ah! While I was searching La Vie Boheme lyrics...I came upon this:
Dies irae dies illa
Yitgadal v' yitkadash, etc.

Do you notice? KYRIE ELEISON! That marks the third occurance of this phrase in a song! Thank you.

In other news...It is spring! And I love spring! But there is a storm warning?!?

We have established that Ms. Michael and I are virtually the same person.

Today in English; Claire, Gabe, Ben and Raina ate shrooms. (in the skit, mind you..I doubt Ms. Michael would allow them in the classroom...)

Crew=hard hard hard.

I leave you with this thought from Lord of the Flies: the black and white movie.

"kyrie, kyrie, kyrie, e leisson!"

P.S. I have no idea what "quixotic" means, I just felt bad for it because it is the only mood that starts with "q."

I love you, West Side Story-ers. [Mar. 14th, 2005|08:53 pm]
[mood |contentI just saw a funny picture.]
[music |Elliott.]

I have just realized that I failed to mention West Side at all, so...

To everyone involved in any way: I love you, it's over.

I feel like I just ended a relationship.

"A Feast of Words II"
Featuring Jesse McCartney

by Hallie Haas and Ari Baum-Hommes

Your highlighted hair
On your overtanned forehead
Oh, Jesse, lipgloss?

You want my soul, yo.
You say it's beautiful
Smirk for me, Jesse!

Lives in Summerland
With many hot ocean babes
And lots of hair gel

You got a girlfriend?
Summerland's great for dating
Will you be my boy?

Eyes like the ocean
Aaron reincarnated
Or perhaps it's Nick?

Thank you, and be prepared for many more.

You scored as Hermione Granger. You're one intelligent witch, but you have a hard time believing it and require constant reassurance. You are a very supportive friend who would do anything and everything to help her friends out.

Indie Rock in the Haashold

IZZY: Hal, today in school we had to get up and say our favorite band names and I said The Sugar Beats and Elliott Smith.  And no one even knew who he was.
